A Malam Danbala has lost his two wives and five children to the cold hands of death on Monday in Sokoto after eating a leftover.
The tragic event happened in Kaura Village, Yabo Local Government Area of Sokoto State, after the family ate Dambu for breakfast.
Danbala said one of his wives made Dambu on Sunday, which she served the family.

However, according to him, the problem arose when the leftover wasn’t covered but mixed with a fresh Dambu the following morning.
“They all ate to their satisfaction and after a while they started complaining of stomach pain and were all rushed to the hospital. The five children died first, followed by my wives who died around midnight but my little girl is responding to treatment because she did not eat much from the food.”
Danbala now has only one surviving member of his family.
The deceased were buried the Islamic way on Tuesday.
