Citationand The Man for the Job, movie star Temi Otedola has made her debut in a stage play called Motherland the Musical.
Temi, who played the role of Young Hassana, a Fulani girl, acted and sang creatively in the stage play. As Young Hassana, she was responsible for navigating forbidden love despite the socio-political issues of 1957 Nigeria.
The play was set in modern Nigeria but made many rich references to history. It brilliantly links Nigeria’s history to its current state.
Motherland the Musical was directed and produced by Bolanle Austen-Peters.
