Nigerian Films Coming To Netflix September!

#Naijaonnetflix, three Nigerian films with captivating storylines are expected to launch on Netflix by September 2022. 

In an Exclusive with the entertainment magazine Variety.com, Netflix Africa during a showcase in Johannesburg, South Africa on Tuesday “See What’s Next Africa”  announced their movie content which included two Nigerian films; “Elesin Oba, The King’s Horseman” based on a play by Wole Soyinka, produced by Mo Abudu and “Anikulapo” directed by Kunle Afolayan will be released on Nov. 4 and Sept. 21 respectively. Both films are centered around the Yoruba culture and folklore.

Another Nigerian film coming to Netflix Sept. 2nd is a 2021 film “Collision Course” directed by Bolanle Austen-Peters which centers around the actions of a rogue law enforcement officer who collides with a struggling musician. Actress Toyin Abraham on Thursday, posted on Instagram about the launch, stating; 

“Collision Course is a race against time in a haze of palpable tension; it is a powder keg tethering on the brink of imminent combustion”.
