Doctors have removed a steel cup in man’s rectum after friends inserted it in his drunken state.
His friends admitted to inserting the cup into his body through his anus as part of a drunken prank after drinking alcohol in Gujarat.
The steel cup was about 8cm (3-4 inches) in diameter and 15cm (6 inches) long.
Upon realizing he had the cup in his body, the man kept quiet about the incident to avoid embarrassment.
A local media reported that his family rushed him to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur City.
An X-ray conducted at the hospital showed that the cup had got stuck in the man’s intestine. According to NDTV India, doctors removed the steel cup in man’s rectum surgically after 10 days when the victim’s stomach got swollen and couldn’t excrete.
The surgery took 2.5 hours of surgery. The man is now stable and will remain under observation for four to five days in the hospital.
